Shingle Roofing

We primarily install architectural (3 dimensional) shingles.  Architectural shingles have a longer life, are more attractive, and have a higher wind resistance than the old 3-tab shingle. Some building departments are no longer allowing 3-tab shingles to be installed on new homes.

Installed Correctly

After Hurricane Katrina, building departments all along the coast focused on roofing. To meet building code, shingles must be installed correctly as part of a roofing system. Building departments require a permit when you re-roof your house and most county and city building codes prohibit new installations of 3-tab shingles.

Our roofing systems are installed according to city and county code requirements. Many “old time” roofers laugh at all of the steps that we go through to install a roof, but spending thousands on a roof that will not meet your city’s building code is nothing to laugh at. We DO NOT cut corners when we install your roof. Even if you choose a different roofing company than us, insist that your roof be installed correctly and to local code.  We are so sure of the quality of our work that offer a separate warranty on top of the roofing manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that your investment will not go to waste.

Architectural Shingles We Install

We install so many roofs every year, we have tried many different types and brands of roofing systems. All shingle brands we install are rated up to 130 mph wind resistance, and meet wind code here along the coast.
